Musgrave wants McCain-Romney ticket

Rep. Marilyn Musgrave today offered her advice about running mates to presumed Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

"I strongly urge Senator McCain to select Governor Mitt Romney as his running mate" said Musgrave, a Fort Morgan Republican.

Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, is said to be on McCain's short list despite the pair's bitter rivalry during the primary campaign.

Romney won the Colorado Republican caucuses.

"Governor Romney represents the kind of real world, global experience we need to keep the American economy going,'' said Musgrave, a Fort Morgan Republican. "Washington is broken and his ability to diagnose and fix problems – from the Olympic Games to multinational corporations – is what we need to fix the problems facing middle class families."

No word from McCain on what he thinks about Musgrave's Romney endorsement.
