MARYLAND ENDORSEMENTS OF MITT ROMNEY:

   ★ - means endorsed Romney in both 2008 and 2012

   * - means endorsed Romney in 2012

Bob Ehrlich

* fmr. Governor Bob Ehrlich

“After studying all the candidates, it is clear that Republicans’ best chance for beating President Obama next November is Mitt Romney,” said former Governor Bob Ehrlich. “Mitt Romney is the only candidate with the necessary experience to turn around our failing economy. He has laid out a comprehensive economic plan that will restart the economy beginning day one. Republicans can’t afford to let President Obama have four more years to spend trillions of dollars, burden small businesses, and fail to create jobs.”

Sen. Colburn

* State Sen. Richard Colburn

"Announcing his support, State Senator Richard Colburn said, “Mitt Romney has a proven record of creating jobs and cutting spending. President Obama has failed on these points and it has hurt the American economy. Mitt Romney has the much-needed experience to lead our country toward an economic recovery.” "

Sen. Mooney

State Sen. Alex Mooney

"Governor Romney has the exceptional energy and leadership we will need to confront a new generation of challenges," said State Senator Alex Mooney, a Romney for President candidate for National Convention Delegate in the Sixth Congressional District. "Maryland Republicans believe in his plans to reform health care, lower taxes and secure our borders. The Maryland delegate candidates are proud to support Governor Romney who has the values and vision to lead our nation."

“State Senator Mooney added, "We support Governor Romney because he has the experience, vision, and values to lead our nation." ”

★ David Wissing - Hedgehogreport.com

“Now this entire primary season, I have remained neutral. Deep down though, I was privately hoping Romney would do better on Super Tuesday and, most likely, would have punch the box next to his name on the computer screen next week in the Republican primary. Backing up further, if we look at the top five Republicans, if all five were still alive right now, my vote would probably have gone to Rudy Giuliani next Tuesday. I would have never been able to vote for Mike Huckabee (despite the fact he gave me the most money) or Fred Thompson (Zzzzzz). Once Giuliani dropped, I was conflicted, but finally settled on Romney, more because I thought he was the more inspiring candidate among the three. I was ready to vote for him until he decided to drop out yesterday.”

David Wissing is a popular Republican blogger out of Maryland who runs the Hedgehog report. His website is an excellent source of polling information.
